We are seeking Account Managers (in Training) to support our wonderful existing customer base and to additionally captivate new customers with our innovative products and services. As an Account Manager (in Training) we will teach you everything you need to succeed; you will learn about our exciting products, our strategic approach to customer partnership and all things Hilti.

As an Account Manager in Training, you will relocate within Ireland to a new and exciting territory. This is no ordinary sales job, as ours is a uniquely high performing and supportive working culture.

What does the role involve?

As an Account Manager in training initially you will be responsible for undertaking out robust and dynamic training (3-4 weeks); through our hub in Manchester. This training will encompass our innovative products, our exciting services, our customer centric approach and all things Hilti. Concurrent to this, there will be extensive on the job training and partnering with our existing team. Once you have graduated from this training, you will relocate within Ireland and you will work and expand a portfolio of existing accounts while building relationships with core customers.

The Account Management role is strategic account development focused, partnering with existing customers ensuring the Hilti product basket is optimised. This is no ordinary sales or business development manager job; we don't believe in a hard sell because our strong core values allow us to focus purely on building long-term sustainable relationships with our customers.

The Account Management role is very autonomous, your red Hilti van will be your office and you will plan, organise and prioritise your time to ensure effectiveness within your territory.

Your new role will be rewarding and challenging, and you will be given the support of your leader, your peers and Hilti to ensure you succeed. Within your first 3 months you will have 4 weeks (non-consecutive) training in digitally (this is traditionally in our state-of-the-art hub in Manchester). This will include training on the Hilti approach, process and product training. The training doesn’t stop there! We have huge amounts of training available to continually grow and develop (including modules created in partnership with Ivy League Universities).

Day to day you’ll report to your regional sales manager, who will also be there to help you manage your career

What you need is:

  • Methodical and driven approach to sales; with a sound ability to identify decision makers
  • Mobility to relocate to another part of Ireland (this is a prerequisite)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective problem solving ability
  • Ambitious about your own development
  • Willingness to learn, passionate and driven
  • A real team player with an eye for detail
  • Full working rights in Ireland
  • A full, clean manual drivers license
