Aligned with the robust and dynamic Irish market we are experiencing exciting growth in the business to ensure we can give the best possible service to our customers and the industry. There is no better time to join us!

Commencing as an Account Manager in Training, you will start your role in early January 2021 and relocate to a territory within Ireland. This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity to learn about our innovative products and strategic approach whilst working for an award-winning multinational organisation.

Who is Hilti?

If you’re new to the industry, you might not have heard of us. We provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services for the global construction sector. We have a proud heritage, built over 75 years, and a worldwide reputation for pioneering products and exceptional service. With 30,000 people in more than 120 countries, which we’re looking to expand, we’re a great place for you to show us your worth, step up to new challenges and grow your career.

What does the role involve?

As an Account Manager in training initially you will be responsible for learning; undertaking our robust and dynamic training on both sales approach and product application. 4 weeks of this training is typically held in our hub in Manchester but due to the current COVID-19 climate, this will be delivered virtually. As an Account Manager in training you will relocate within Ireland and you will work to expand a portfolio of existing accounts while building relationships with core customers.

This is no ordinary sales or business development manager job; we don't believe in a hard sell because our strong core values allow us to focus purely on building long-term sustainable relationships with our customers. We partner with our customers to understand their business needs and how our products can add value. This is why we stand out as the market leader.

Our tools are chosen for some of the world’s most exciting projects, like London’s Crossrail and Japan’s bullet train, as well as everyday buildings that make people’s lives better and safer.

What do we offer?

At Hilti, it’s all about teamwork. We have an award-winning culture that is highly diverse and inclusive. We love to celebrate success and as part of the Hilti family you will be proud to work for an industry leading innovator.

Your new role will be rewarding and challenging, and you will be given the support of your leader, your peers and Hilti to ensure you succeed. Within your first 3 months you will have 4 weeks (non-consecutive) training in our state-of-the-art hub in Manchester. This will include training on the Hilti approach, process and product training. The training doesn’t stop there! We have huge amounts of training available to continually grow and develop (including modules created in partnership with Ivy League Universities).

We promote over 80% of roles internally at Hilti, and as you grow you will be given opportunities to move around the business – to work abroad, experience different job functions and tackle different markets.

Why should you apply?

We’ll give you everything you need to excel in your role, including market leading training. For us, it’s about the right person – our training will cover the rest.

At Hilti we pride ourselves on developing our people and as such, we will give you all the support you need to grow your career.

We offer a flexible working culture as well as other great benefits including 25 days holidays (not including bank holidays) with a scheme to purchase up to 10 additional days, a competitive commission structure, health insurance, pension and a company vehicle.

What you need is:

  • Methodical and driven approach to sales; with a sound ability to identify decision makers
  • Mobility to relocate to another part of Ireland (this is a prerequisite)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective problem solving ability
  • Ambitious about your own development
  • Willingness to learn, passionate and driven
  • A real team player with an eye for detail
  • Full working rights in Ireland
  • A full, clean manual drivers license

“How am I going to sell power tools? I’ve never drilled a hole in my life! That’s what I thought when I first joined Hilti, but it’s really not like that. It’s about nurturing your strengths and being rewarded for hard work.”
