Masters Student - Logistics Thesis
What's the role?
We are looking for a Master Thesis student to conduct a research study regarding logistics services competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer sensing in the Irish construction industry. The study conclusions and recommendations will be considered to build the Logistics Services Roadmap for Ireland from 2020 to 2023.
The study duration is from Jan to May 2020. There will be interim presentations to review the progress of the project and provide you with steering and direction. The final presentation will be to the Irish Leadership team and Logistics Leadership team for Northern Europe.

What does the role involve?
The goal of the thesis is to:
Understand the logistics competitive landscape based on market analysis
Understand Hilti's positioning in the market regarding Logistics services
Understand logistics last mile delivery trends in Ireland
Conduct customers and internal stakeholder surveys and interviews
Identify gaps on our current offer and propose alternatives
The project deliverables are:
Presentation to the Irish Leadership Teams and Regional Logistics Leadership Team of:
Result of surveys and interviews to internal and external stakeholders
Conclusions of the research
Recommendations for services to implement, rated by importance to customer & feasibility to implement
Interim presentations with the progress of the research. These presentations can also be used for decision making and to highlight areas of risk in the project.

Presentation 3 - Gap analysis & recommendations
To support the students with the success of the project, the Logistics Services Manager for Northern Europe and the Logistics Manager for Ireland will act as project supervisors.

What you need is:
- Currently in last year of Master’s Degree program, with a preference in the area of Logistics, Marketing, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering
- Excellent Project/ Time Management skills
- Good Computer skills (Office, Excel, SAP beneficial)
- A strategic approach and good problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Energy, courage and sharp thinking
