On-Site Testing (anchors); Graduate Engineering Role

What's the role?

Due to another promotion within our thriving engineering team, we are looking for a motivated and customer centric graduate engineer, to join the team at Hilti Ireland as an on-site/anchor testing engineer. This role will commence as a 9-month internship role, with huge scope and opportunities beyond that for the right person.

This is a customer facing role in which you will get exposure to the Hilti customer in addition to our engineering team and approach. You will use your technical expertise and high level of communication skills to succeed.

What does the role involve?

As an On Site Testing (anchors) and as a member of the engineering team, you will enthuse us with your expertise and creative approach to application-oriented product innovations.
Your responsibilities include providing support to the sales and marketing teams in carrying out routine testing at job-sites for Hilti anchors and fasteners. You will also be responsible for:

Carrying out all tests in strict accordance with the company’s quality standards and guidelines. This includes planning the site visits internally and with external customers.
Documenting all tests and their results comprehensively. Verify that test reports issued are accurate and detailed, and co-signed with the immediate supervisor.
Cleaning and maintaining all testing equipment and related tools in tip-top condition. Appropriate care, security and storage should be observed at all times including during transportation or in use.

What you need is:

  • University degree in engineering
  • English language fluency; fluency in additional foreign languages will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Excel;
  • Communicative and open personality with passion for results;
  • Committed to continuous learning and development;
  • Good planning and time management skills.
  • Full working rights in Ireland
  • A full, clean drivers license
