What's the role?

We have an exciting and dynamic Solutions Specialist role at Hilti Ireland. Your new role will see you offering our cutting edge services (asset management and asset leasing) to our existing customer base. This role will be Dublin based, however there will be some travel involved.

You’ll be working closely with your professional and approachable sales teams in the field, coaching team members to improve their competency in the specialist services, as well as building and executing action plans to uncover opportunities and drive sales.

This is a highly regarded role within Hilti and you will have the opportunity to utilise your solutions centric sales approach coupled with Hilti’s cutting edge services portfolio.

What does the role involve?

As a Solutions Specialist, you will report direction to a Regional Manager and work cohesively with your team, coaching team members to improve their competency within Hilti’s specialist services, in addition to building and executing action plans to uncover opportunities and drive sales. You will also be supporting customers by providing analysis on their business needs, as well as excellent customer service in the software implementation and training phases of ON!Track (asset management) in particular.

The role requires someone who can work with initiative and creativity, manage their own diary, cover all customer commitments effectively, and very much be a team player. It is also beneficial to be excited by software as well as being tech-savvy.

Like most at Hilti, the Solutions Specialist role is a hands on role, and the successful candidate will be expected to be the go to person for services within their territory. A consultative sales approach, coupled with effective communication and customer demonstrations of services will be essential to succeed.

Your new role will be rewarding and challenging, and you will be given the support of your leader, your peers and Hilti to ensure you succeed. Within your first 3 months you will have 2 weeks training (formerly within our state-of-the-art hub in Manchester, currently online due to the COVID-19 climate) This will include training on the Hilti approach, process and product training. The training doesn’t stop there! We have huge amounts of training available to continually grow and develop (including modules created in partnership with Ivy League Universities).

Day to day, you’ll report to a Regional Manager, and they will also be there to be your coach and manage your career.

What you need is:

  • Strong interest in software and skilled in Microsoft office suite
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment: Marketing, Sales and 3rd party service provider
  • Willingness to travel extensively, working autonomously in a field based role, managing your own time.
  • A methodical and driven approach to sales; with a sound ability to identify decision makers
  • Self-starter capable of working independently, managing your own call cycle
  • Willingness to learn, passionate and driven
  • A real team player with an eye for detail
  • Full working rights in Ireland
  • A full, clean manual EU driver’s license
